Dr. Richard M. Cowin, DPM, is the Director and owner of The Bunion Specialist.

He is an acclaimed lecturer, practitioner, and pioneer in the field of Minimally Invasive and Laser Foot Surgery. Dr. Cowin, DPM has been board certified by the Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery Division of The American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, The American Board of Ambulatory Foot Surgery, The American Academy of Pain Management, and The American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review Physicians.

He is also a Fellow of The Academy of Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgeons (formerly the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery) and has served as a board member, president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, scientific chairman, and has chaired the Standards of Care and Preferred Practice Guidelines Committee. In 2006, this fine organization honored Dr. Cowin, DPM by presenting him with their prestigious Hall of Fame Award. Dr. Cowin has lectured extensively in the United States and abroad.
